The world’s first laser-powered television has been unveiled by Misubishi in the US.
The LaserVue L65-A90, a 65-inch rear projection set uses DLP technology (usually found in projectors) to deliver amazing colour depth and the ability to display twice the colour gamut of HDTV standard.
The TV also comes ‘3D Ready’ although in the absence of any media, except a few 3D games, this seem fairly meaningless.
Also included are 120Hz playback of Full HD material, x.v.Colour, four HDMI 1.3a sockets, a narrow 10-inch depth and weighs 60 kg.
At a price that will be upwards of Rs.5,00,000 it’s not light on the pockets either.
