The days of stealing cellphones are almost over. With Google’s new Latitude Service Locator you can track a thief in real time as he makes his way around the city.

Latitude allows for automatic tracking of friends in real time, using a laptop, Symbian 60, Blackberry, WinMo and soon, iPhone or Android.

It’s a great way to keep track of family members who’re stuck in traffic or of those you’re going to the airport to pickup. Not a good idea if you’re cheating on your spouse.

Currently works on limited phones and locations. Google Latitude.
