The largest-ever study investigating if cellphones cause cancer is being conducted by Interphone researchers. And after examining studies from 6,400 tumors in patients from 13 countries results seem to be bad for those hooked to their phones.

Although final results are expected in early 2009, the preiliminary indications are that if you’ve used cellphones for over 10 years your chances of developing a tumor are 40% highre than those that haven’t.

If final results conslusively prove this this could spell a dramatic shift in the entire industry both in usage patterns, future designs and Government controls – possibly like they exist in the tobacco industry.
