Even as you struggle with your dial-up or the ‘fake’ 128kbps ‘broadband’ connections that telecom companies peddle to you Japan is getting ready to take a gigantic leap with a 1 GBPS internet service next week.

Japanese internet company KIDDI is providing these ultra-fast connections to consumers at a price of about US$ 52 (Rs.2200) per month.

Which doesn’t seem a whole lot considering broadband charges in India. And imagine the time you’d save while downloading entire movies off the internet.
