Kal Penn and John Cho in Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay
While it’s quite unlikely that you’ll walk thru the exit door while attempting to enter the bathroom – there comes a time when after a plane explodes in mid-air or having been pushed out by the bad-guy, like in numerous Bond movies, you need to survive the drop.
Here’s what you must do even while dropping at high-speeds and thru the chilly air:
1. Spread your arms and legs. This slows your fall considerably. You can also change direction and move horizontally as well.
2. Look out for lakes, oceans and rivers. You need about 12 feet of water to survive. At the last moment bring your feet together and enter the water vertically with your hands stretched over your head.
3. On land aim for tents, circus tops and in worst cases high trees – you just might make it despite all the broken bones.
Remember that several ‘dropouts’, including a Russian colonel who fell off 20,000 feet, have survived nearly impossible falls by following just these tips!
