
The rock legend torched his 1965 Fender Stratocaster at the end of a show in London, in 1967 and the flames left Hendrix needing treatment for minor burns.
For forty years since then the guitar remained forgotten in a garage until it was sold off in an auction by the Fame Bureau’s It’s More Than Rock And Roll for an incredible 280,000 pounds (Rs.2 crores).
American collector Daniel Boucher who bought the piece said he could have paid more and that it was a great investment.
