The American economy must really be reeling.

Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner has been advised to cut back on staff at his multi-million dollar glamour empire as it struggles to cope with the economic turmoil.

Which means the 83-year-old, who’s reported to sleep with different bunnies every other day, will be cutting down on staff and the good-looking girls in his Los Angeles and New York offices.

The company’s shares have fallen dramatically over the last couple of months and there’s a possibility of Playboy going down like several others – including FHM – recently.
