Eight years after Priyanka Chopra made the mark on the Miss World stage another Indian beauty came close to grabbing the crown but missed it by a whisker.

20-year-old Parvathy Omanakuttan was crowned runner up at the Miss World contest in South Africa on 13 December after she lost out to Ksenia Sukhinova of Russia.

The five feet eight tall model measures 32-27-36 and had also won the third position in the Miss World Top Model earlier this month.
