The frustating thing about it is that we won’t know until 10 Sep 2008 when the folks at the Large Hadron Collider switch it on.
The gigantic machine, built in a 27 km long tunnel below the French-Swiss border will recreate the Big Bang on 10 Sep 2008. A process that some forecast will create a black hole that will swallow the earth and the entire universe.
You could live life like this were your last day on earth and then appear a complete fool when you’ve made it to 11 Sep. Or if you think it’s unlikely you’ll end up in black hole, get on with your life only to find out that it’s true, you’ll be a bit upset you didn’t live it up. Won’t you?

we’re going to die… and we wont even know it
